My Chromebook didn't charge overnight!

Before you send your Chromebook in for repair, it’s possible it just didn't get a proper charge overnight. Please try these troubleshooting steps first:

Step 1: Plug in your charger securely

Look at the LED indicator light on the side of your Chromebook and follow the step that matches your light:

  • The light is ORANGE: Your Chromebook is safely charging. Leave it alone to charge! If it reaches a full charge and turns on, you are good to go—no need to send it in.

  • The light is WHITE: Your device is fully charged.

    1. Press the Power button and wait 30 seconds.

    2. If that doesn't work, press the Refresh + Power keys at the same time and wait 30 seconds.

    3. Still won't turn on? Bring your Chromebook to the Kiosk and fill out the repair form.

  • There is NO light at all: Try using a different charger.

    • If the new charger works: Your original charger is broken. Bring the broken charger to the Kiosk and fill out the repair form.

    • If a different charger still doesn't work: Bring your Chromebook to the Kiosk and fill out the repair form.
