Windows 10 Video Editor "These files have properties that can't be read, so we couldn't add them"

Problem: When trying to add pictures to the video editor using the "Add from this PC" option, we receive the following message "These files have properties that can't be read, so we couldn't add them".

Solution: First add a picture using the "Add from collection" option. Second, as long as you add one photo using the "add from collection" option, the "add from this PC" option will start to work.
